Vihaan meets Aarushi, a middle-class girl, who is a kind, gentle and pure soul, and falls in love with her thinking she will please the varied expectations all seven mothers have from their to-be daughter-in-law in a bid to find the perfect match for their son. Vihaan, despite being the centre of attention, isn't spoilt or pampered but instead is nurtured to grow into a mature, loving, sensitive individual.
Each female member of the family has a tragic story from their past, related to their husbands. Vihaan Vatsal's family consists of him and his seven "mothers" he is the only male member in the house, whilst the matriarch is Daadi Maa. Satrangi Sasural is the story of the marriage of Vihaan and Aarushi. Originally, it was broadcast Mon–Fri at 10:00PM IST on 21 September 2015, the show took a four-year leap with the death of the character Aarushi (played by Mugdha Chaphekar), with Vrushika Mehta portraying the new female lead, and aired Mon–Sat at 6:00PM IST. The show is an adaption of the Zee Marathi series Honar Sun Me Hya Gharchi.
It outlines the journey of a middle-class woman Aarushi, who marries into a wealthy family in the heart of Delhi, which consists of her husband, Vihaan Vatsal, and seven mothers-in-law. It starred Ravish Desai and Mugdha Chaphekar in the lead roles. Satrangi Sasural was a Hindi-language Indian soap opera, broadcast on Zee TV channel from 3 December 2014 to 26 March 2016, Monday through Saturday. I thoroughly enjoyed doing this and it was a fun experience. While filming for these close-ups, it brought back a lot of nostalgia and happy memories from our D3 days, as it was Vrushika, Palki Malhotra and I on the sets of Cinevistaas. I did agree of course, because we had to finish the choreography.
So that's when Palki Ma'am came up with the idea that I could instead dupe those few closeup shots. When contacted Shantanu said, "While filming for this dance sequence we realized that a few closeups of Avinash were required. While filming the dance sequence they realized that they had forgotten to film a few close-ups of Avinash, who had packed up and left, and that is when Project head and Director of the sequence, Palki Malhotra came up with the idea that Shantanu who was present on set at that time and could, in fact, be the dupe for those particular closeup shots. Not only this, we have exclusive information that Shantanu was also asked to be the dupe for male lead Avinash Mishra. Had a great time seeing her picking up choreography and performing so well. She has grown so much as a performer & as an individual feels so nice to see that.
